Last Night/This Morning can only be described as Crazy. My friends church holds over night events every once and a while and I was able to go to this one. This was a Amazing Race theme so we were all on teams completing challenges & tasks. The tasks included protecting a egg from a drop of the roof using only straws and pipe cleaners. We also schedule a church camp where we decide on a theme, verse and did cabin assignments.  We “raced” from 10:00 at night till 5:00 in the morning. Stopping for an occasional Mandatory rest period. It was awesome. I was on a team with my friends that go to the church and we came in 3rd place. I think I am now ready for the real show!!!!

Last month I set up a Formspring.me account. For those of you who don’t know what it it – it is basically a place where people can ask you anonymous questions. I have got some pretty weird ones like “Do you like to surf?” Haha. But the popular question that multiple people have asked is “Are you Single?” – “Why don’t you have a girlfriend.” – “Will you go out with me?” – “Who do you like?”

So I am going to answer the question once and for all:

The reason I don’t have a girlfriend is because I am only 16 and in my opinion there is no rush. With that being said, I am not against High School dating. But on the other hand, I am not going to have a girlfriend just to have one. But I would say that it probably won’t be to long before I might possibility have a Girlfriend. Just Maybe

What’s funny is in the past month or so, I have two friends who every time I see them say “You should go out with ______.” or “Are you going to ask ______ to go to prom with you?” Ya…you know who you are. I think its pretty funny because I just look past it cause I don’t really care. And to settle that question I am not going to be asking anyone to prom because its Sold Out…..sorry if you were hoping I would.

As most of you know this past weekend I tryed out for ocean lifeguarding. I basically thought I had the job because of how many people they needed to hire for the summer. Plus being a Junior Lifeguard and Cadet for 3 years gave me an advantage. None the less I did my best and placed 33rd on the pier swim and 27th on the Run/Swim/Run. Pretty good as most of the guys trying out were in college. I was one of the youngest trying out. So I got an interview and completely nailed it. But I was still on the fence as to whether I made the cut and would get an invite to training.

I got the disappointing news Tuesday night that I didn’t make it. However, the Lieutenant of the department (who I know) personally called me to give me the disappointing news. They were happy with my swim times & interview, but they had to many applicants who were faster than me. The bright side is that he told me that they want to come try out next year and most likely I will make it. So next year I will brave the cold water and do it all over again!!!
