In a few months I will be trying-out for ocean lifeguarding. I am super stoked as I have done Junior Lifeguards for 3 years, jumped of a 25 foot high pier over 35 times and was named one of the top Junior Lifeguards out of 350 kids. But as I try-out all of those “stats” go away. No one cares and it doesn’t make a difference cause this is the real thing – professional lifeguarding. I am confident that I can make the try-out, but I still think about it cause you are competing with guys who are a lot older and bigger than you. But if all goes well I will pass the try-out and make it into training and start getting paid!!!!
